The Public Bank Group posted another favourable set of financial results for the third quarter of 2015.

Founder and Chairman Tan Sri Dato’ Sri Dr. Teh Hong Piow highlighted that, “For the first nine months ended 30 September 2015, the Public Bank Group reported 9.3% year-on-year growth in the net profit attributable to shareholders to achieve RM3.57 billion. The Group’s pre-tax profit grew by 9.1% to RM4.63 billion during the same period. These results were driven by sustained growth performance in the Group’s loans and deposits, as well as the Group’s non-interest income which posted 20.7% growth in the first nine months of 2015.

Founder and Chairman of Public Bank, Tan Sri Dato’ Sri Dr. Teh Hong Piow has been honoured with the Asian Corporate Director Recognition Award 2015 by Corporate Governance Asia for the sixth consecutive year.

The award recognises outstanding corporate directors from the boards of public and private companies in Asia.

Tan Sri Dato’ Sri Tay Ah Lek, Managing Director of Public Bank was recognised as Fellow, Chartered Banker at the Asian Institute Of Chartered Bankers (AICB) Conferment Ceremony held on 6 November 2015 at Sasana Kijang, Bank Negara Malaysia.

During the month of October, Public Bank Senior Management held a series of business meetings with Branch Managers and Heads of HP Centres in Head Office, Menara Public Bank. A total of 257 Branch Managers, 27 Heads of HP Centres and 47 selected HP Business Managers from around the country participated in the business meetings held on 2 October 2015 and 6 October 2015, respectively.
